USDA Announces $300 Million Climate Investment

White Castle, LA (July 17, 2023) - The Biden-Harris administration has announced a $300 million investment through the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to improve measurement, monitoring, reporting, and verification of greenhouse gas emissions. Within this investment, the USDA will be tracking carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions while evaluating climate-smart mitigation practices. The USDA is continuing to engage stakeholders and technical experts to help inform this effort. The goal is to focus on data collection and management, using data to improve tools and models, and generating more accurate estimates around program outcomes and greenhouse gas research. American BioCarbon has been closely monitoring these announcements and is planning to implement any updates as needed.
